5. GENERALINSTRUCTIONSANDINFORMATION
- Applicants should possess the prescribed qualification and experience for the respective post as on 11.07.2025. Shortlisted candidates would be required to produce specific certificates in Original as per eligibility conditions of NIT Jamshedpur.
- The minimum qualification with regard to academic qualification and experience for all positions advertised herewith shall be as noted against each post.
- Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post, should apply separately for each post in the prescribedmanner,andseparateapplicationwithfeemustbedepositedforeachpost.However,the candidates will do so at their own risk as the schedule of Examination (CBT) for any two post codes may coincide.
- The Institute has the right to set higher norms than minimum while short-listing, takinginto account the specific requirements of the institute and shall be binding on all the applicants. The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitmentshallbefinaland binding on the applicants.

- Theloweragelimitforallpostsshallbe18years.Theupperagelimitmentionedintheadvertisement is with reference to the unreserved vacancies.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates who opt to apply for unreserved vacancies will not be eligible for age relaxation or relaxation in cut-off marks otherwise allowed to those belonging to these categories. - Theoriginaldegrees/certificates/proofofdateofbirthandothertestimonialstowardsthefulfilment ofspecifiedeligibilityconditionsshallberequiredtobeproducedbythecandidateatthetimeoftheir Interview/ Document Verification.
- Theapplicantsareadvised/requiredtovisittheInstitutewebsite,www.nitjsr.ac.inregularly.Thelist of candidates short-listed for participation in the selection process, such as Document Verification/SkillTest/TradeTest/interview,etc.,willbedisplayedontheInstitutewebsiteonly.No separate communication/intimation in this regard shall be made by the Institute.

- Candidates should ensure that their Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth should exactly match as recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate. In case any candidate has formally changed thename,thengazettenotificationoranyotherlegaldocument,as applicable should besubmitted at the time of Document Verification.
- Candidates are advised to indicate their active mobile number and valid e-mail ID in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire recruitment process, as important messages will besentbyemailandonmobile,whichwillbedeemedtohavebeenreadbythecandidates.Candidates arerequiredtocarefullyfill/provideallthedetailedinformationregardingpersonaldetails/Bio-Data, fees,etc.,throughONLINEapplication.Thecandidateis responsibletoprovethatalltheinformation provided/submitted by him/her in the application is true.

- All recruitment and pay-fixation shall be done by the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Institute only on the recommendations of duly constituted Selection Committees. The Decision of the Appointing Authority shall be final. There shall be no scope of fixing of altering pay (Pay Matrix & Basic Pay) outside the Selection Committee.

- Candidates who are not exempted from Fee payment must ensure that theirFee has been deposited withNITJamshedpur.IftheFeeisnotreceivedbyNITJamshedpur,statusoftheApplicationFormis shown as ‘Incomplete/Pending’ and this information will be displayed on top of the online Application Form. Further, status of Fee payment can be verified at the ‘Payment Status” link provided in the candidate’s login screen. Such Applications which remain incomplete due to non- receipt of Fee for any reason whatsoever will be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no request for consideration of such Applications and Fee payment after the period specified in the Advertisement shall be entertained.
6. DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES:

- Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or mark sheet of Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central / State Board indicating date of Birth will be considered in support of their claim of age. Where date of birth is not available in certificate/marksheetsissuedbyconcernedEducationalBoards,Schoolleavingcertificateindicating date of birth will be considered.
- Degree/Diploma certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years as proof of educationalqualificationclaimed.IntheabsenceofaparticularDegreecertificate,marksheetsofthe Degree program will be accepted.
- Experience Certificate(s) from the Head(s) of Organization(s) / Department(s) for the entire experienceclaimed,clearlymentioning thedurationofemployment(date, month & year) indicating the basic pay and consolidated pay. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties performed/experience obtained in the post(s) with duration(s).
- CertificatebycandidateseekingreservationasSC/ST/OBC/EWSshallbeintheprescribedproforma
only from the competent authority indicating clearly the candidate’s claim for reservation under a specificcategory,theAct/Order,underwhichtheCategoryisrecognizedasSC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS and the village/town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of.

- The candidate(s) must have attained the minimum age of 18 years as on 11.07.2025. The permissible relaxation in upper age limit for claiming age relaxation is as follows:

- Negativemarking:InStage-I,One(01)markshallbeawardedtoeverycorrectanswerandone-fourth (1/4th) marks shall be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unanswered questions will not be given any marks.
- Normalization of Marks: Normalization Process, in case CBT is held in more than one shift for the same Post, will be followed.
- MinimumQualifyingmarksfordifferentcategorieswillbeasunder:
Nocandidatewillbeconsideredfortheselectionprocessiftheysecurelessthan40%ofthemaximum marks under UR/OBC/EWS category & 35% of the maximum marks if she/he is a SC/ST in CBT examination in any case.
